I’m WBro. Dan Santos, the founder of Craft Masons, and I’d love to share the story behind this project – a journey born out of necessity, brotherhood and a passion for Freemasonry.
How It All Started
During the challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I was furloughed for nearly six months, facing the real possibility of losing my job. Like so many others, I needed a way to stay afloat – but I also wanted to do something meaningful for our Masonic community. That’s when the idea of Masonic face coverings came to mind.
These weren’t just any masks; they were designed with the Craft in mind, letting brethren stay safe while proudly displaying their Masonic pride. The response was overwhelming, and I was able to donate a portion of the proceeds to the Masonic Charitable Foundation.
From a Shop to Something New
The encouragement from fellow Masons was incredible, and over time Craft Masons grew into a dedicated shop offering Masonic jewellery, regalia accessories, and lodge gifts.
The shop has now closed. After a good run, I’ve made the decision to step away from selling products and focus my time on something I’ve found even more rewarding: building free tools that help Masons in their ritual practice.
Craft Masons Today
Craft Masons is now home to a growing collection of free interactive games designed to help Freemasons learn and perfect their ritual lines, floor work, and lodge knowledge – the same personal touch that went into every product now goes into every game.
Whether you’re a newly initiated Brother trying to nail your first piece of ritual, or a seasoned officer brushing up before installation, there’s a game here to help.
